Set a Goal to Stop Smoking

If you want to stop smoking you need all the help you can get. For many, this means setting goals - both for the short and long term. When you have goals in front of you there is a better chance that you will stay on the right track.

Your main goal is easy to identify: you want to stop smoking. However, this is just the start. There are other types of goals that you can set to ensure that you are on the right track at all times.

For example, you can set the first goal of smoking one pack of cigarettes per day to just a couple. This is a big step in the right direction.

Along with setting goals, make sure you reward yourself when you are successful. This will go a long way in ensuring that you are always working as hard as possible towards making progress.

If you need any help, don't be shy about asking your doctor for advice. This is a good way to not only get advice from a professional but to have all of your personal questions answered. If assistance is available, you might as well reach out.

When you set a goal to stop smoking there is a good chance that you will hold yourself accountable. This is particularly true if you are going to reward yourself for reaching your goals.

What are you waiting on? Set your goals - as many as you would like - and get started. Once you stop smoking you will feel better about yourself!
